Bringing Joy to Pediatric Care: A Pediatric Practice Reimagined - The "Pencil Power" Transformation
Children are vibrant, unique, and full of potential – much like a box of colorful pencils. We believe their healthcare environments should reflect this spirit. For this pediatric practice, the brief was to create a warm, aesthetically pleasing, and welcoming space where children of all ages feel at ease.
Understanding the unique developmental stages of children, we intuitively knew this design needed to be something special. We literally "sharpened our pencils" and conceived a gender-neutral, age-appropriate, and undeniably fun theme.
Every element was custom-designed and meticulously brought to life:
A one-of-a-kind mirror frame, designed by Lynda and crafted exclusively for this practice, ingeniously comprises 441 short pencils.
A custom-made lampshade adds a playful touch.
Giant, oversized pencils, custom-designed and manufactured by Lynda and her team, playfully greet visitors at reception and complement the tin buckets in the play area, ready to host crayons.
Beyond aesthetics, functionality was key. We selected sophisticated, easy-to-clean vinyl upholstery fabrics specifically suited for a busy pediatric setting. The chosen wallpaper masterfully tied the entire theme and color palette together, transforming a once cold, clinical area into a warm and inviting sanctuary.
Our meticulous project management ensured minimal disruption: coordinating all stakeholders, deliveries, and installations to complete this stunning transformation in just two hours. Delivering this project was a joyous, creative journey we truly cherished, knowing we created a space that helps young patients feel comfortable and cared for.
